Well, looks like our good ol’ friends at Walmart, the same people who made the iPhone $97 to make room for the iPhone 4, are bringing you another smashing deal for Father’s Day—a $99 (don’t get too happy yet) Xbox 360 Arcade!
At E3, Microsoft unveiled the new Xbox 360 (to replace the Elite, moreso). Price drops on the rest of the consoles quickly followed. The existing Elite would see a new price of $250, and the Arcade would see a new price of $150. (Does this mean they are eliminating the Premium console? C’mon, we need a middle ground here.)
Through June 20, purchasing a newly priced $150 Xbox 360 Arcade gets you a $50 Walmart eGiftcard (usable only on Walmart.com and Samsclub.com) on top of the two free games (Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts) and Viva Pinata), wireless controller, and 256MB of on-board memory.
Alright, so you aren’t getting the console for $100 off the floor, but you’re getting a lovely consolation prize of $50 to spend online. Still, a hell of a deal.
