Ubisoft has announced a new game at their E3 conference, entitled “Child of Eden”. The game dramatically opened the show as Rez creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi appeared on stage and started controlling the game. It works with the 360 Kinect, and the gameplay focuses on players moving their hands about to direct a glowing blue reticule at elements on the screen.
The game went on a journey through weird and trippy shaped worlds, just like Rez, and had a really high level of quality to it. The mad house music that pumped along to the game complimented everything well and it all worked. It reached a crescendo towards the end of the demo and we have to say we were impressed. It definitely looks like the best Kinect game so far and why it was not at the Microsoft conference we’ll never know. A release date is yet to be announced.
A gameplay video hasn’t reached the internet yet, but when it does we’ll definitely post it as we thought it looked excellent. Here’s the E3 trailer that will start to describe what we’re on about:
