Black Box and Electronic Arts have today announced that they will be releasing a demo for Skate 3 on April 15th, hitting both the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network on the same day. The demo features the University District in the new Port Caverton locale, and includes both single and multiplayer challenges. Specifically, the modes in the demo are “Domination”, “Own the Lot” and “Hall of Meat”.

The demo also includes Coach Frank’s Skate.School, where players can learn the basics and perfect their skills. In addition, the demo will show off the new object dropper. This will allow gamers to personalize and tweak the University District to their specification. Skate.Reel will be making an appearance as well, with users being able to upload their in-game footage with the Replay Editor to the Skate.Reel site.

Skate 3 will be on both the 360 and the PS3, hitting retailers in North America on May 11th. The rest of the world will be able to buy it from May 14th.
