Slightly Mad Studios has announced that Shift 2: Unleashed will be released in the UK on 25th March. The rest of Europe will get the game on 24th March and the US will get it on 29th March. Shift 2 is EA’s take on the simulation racer genre, designed to take on other series’ like Gran Turismo and Forza. Intriguingly, EA has dropped the “Need for Speed” brand from the title in order to try to launch it as a new series. However, it will use Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit’s Autolog social network tool. Surprisingly, that was actually handled really well and we enjoyed playing about with it.
