2K Games has confirmed that Mafia II will be released on August 24th in the US and August 27th in the UK. The game will be released on the 360, PS3 and PC. Currently it is still in development over in 2K Czech, who delivered us the original Mafia game. Mafia II follows the son of a poor immigrant; Vito and his friend Joe as they descend into the seedy underbelly of 1940s and 1950s Americana.

If any of you are going to PAX East, it will be playable on the show floor at the 2K Games booth (booth #103).
