Capcom has announced that Xbox Live Arcade exclusive Dead Rising 2: Case West will be released next month. The game sees the return of Frank West as he peruses Fortune City in order to investigate Phenotrans. His goal is to find proof of its involvement with the zombie outbreaks. Case West is set immediately after Dead Rising 2, and allows Frank to team up with Chuck Greene in co-op.
Expect to see new enemies and new weapons, but also expect to be frustrated by having to rescue even more stupid human survivors. Frank will be able to take photographs and word on the street is that there will be some cameo appearances from characters in the original Dead Rising. If you play Case West all by yourself, you won’t be allowed to control Frank. Instead, you will be thrusted into the shoes of Chuck again. The AI will take over Frank, cheekily making him invulnerable.
In other Dead Rising themed news, Case Zero has now ratched up 600,000 sales. Those sales cover until the end of October, so they could be even higher at the time of writing. It also makes Case Zero the fifth best selling XBLA game. All this proves is that gamers like cheap stuff.
