Ubisoft has finally officially announced Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. The single player side of the game will take part in Rome and will apparently last for around 15 hours. The protagonist is once again Ezio, as he goes about recruiting and training “promising young Assassins”.
This time around, the money earned through your actions will not be spent on a villa, but on Rome itself. Doing this will change Ezio’s social standing, curry favour with various factions and unlock new missions. Da Vinci, Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza will be making an appearance, alongside new weapons. Expect to see poison darts, parachutes, hidden blades, guns and an intriguingly titled “advanced flying machine”.
The new multiplayer side of the game is under development at Ubisoft Annecy, the team responsible for the online multiplayer component of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. There will be multiple character classes with different weapons and killing moves. The game is expected “Holiday 2010” for the PS3 and 360, with a PC version presumably in the pipeline.
