Sony has announced that they have tied-up some third-party publishers to provide exclusive DLC, betas and limited editions for the PlayStation 3. The announcement was made at the company’s E3 conference; where they went on to unveil said exclusives.
Medal of Honour will get an exclusive limited edition on the PS3 when it’s released on 12th October. The limited edition includes an HD-remastered version of Medal of Honor: Frontline. Dead Space 2 will also get an exclusive limited edition on the PS3 when it’s released on 28th January 2011. The limited edition of this version includes a copy of Dead Space: Extraction with PlayStation Move support.
Additionally, 2K will offer exclusive day-one DLC for Mafia II on the PS3. The DLC will apparently feature “new missions and hours of additional arcade gameplay”. Look out for that when the game’s released on 27th August.
Ubisoft also joined in, stating that they will give out an exclusive mission pack for the PS3 version of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. They also announced that the multiplayer beta for Brotherhood will be exclusive to the PS3. The game will be released on 16th November.
