Sony overlord Sir Howard Stringer has announced that there are now 60 million PlayStation Network accounts. That figure is across all networked Sony-branded products that connect to the PSN. Apart from that, Sony’s CES conference was pretty dire. The other main announcement was that Gran Turismo 5 has sold 5.5 million copies worldwide. The PSP2 was missing in action, as was the Android-powered PlayStation Phone. Sony must have something in the pipeline, as the PSP is already deemed a failure and we’re not sure what they’re going to do to combat the 3DS.
