Sony has released a new firmware update for the PlayStation 3. Numbered 3.30, it adds trophy sorting support and some behind the scenes preparation for upcoming stereoscopic 3D games. Those who purchase Sony’s first 3D screen (the HX800) will get four stereoscopic 3D PSN games for free (Wipeout HD, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN and Super Stardust HD). The 3D collection will be redeemable through a PSN voucher code. It is expected that the PlayStation 3’s main stereoscopic 3D support update will hit around the time of the HX800’s launch in June.
