Sony has confirmed that MotorStorm: Apocalypse will be released in spring 2011. A demo will be released sometime next year, presumably before the game launches. Evolution Studios will continue to support the game after it has been released. They will pump out some stuff they were unable to find the time to complete, including a special island track the team wants to give away for free.
