Sony may be ready to make a bit of money from it’s PlayStation Network, with rumors that they will introduce a “premium” option to their service similar to that of Microsoft’s Xbox Live service.

According to VG247, a part of Sony’s E3 presentation will focus on a paid version of PSN. Premium subscribers are said to get access to a free PSN game per month, and a streaming music service, for “under $70 USD”… Maybe it’s just me, but personally I’m an Xbox person (yet I still double-dip with my PS3) and I don’t play enough PSN games to have a need to pay for the service. I pay for Xbox Live, that’s enough monthly fees for me, regarding video games, of course.

The details sound pretty close to a survey they Sony distributed last year, gauging interest on a paid version of its service (heh, I actually remember that too…). Of course, it’s still a rumor, but what do you think? Let’s get some feedback!
