Sony Japan has confirmed that the first games to be updated to include 3D support (in Japan) are Super Stardust HD, Pain and WipeOut HD. These titles are the same as the Bravia promotion Sony Europe has been pushing with their 3D sets and will be hitting Japan on June 10th.
New Bravia buyers in the region will be getting that little lot for free as well as a 3D demo of MotorStorm Pacific Rift. For gamers who already have a 3DTV or plan to get a different brand, the 3D update for Super Stardust HD and WipeOut HD will be free. Pain’s new 3D mode will set Japanese consumers back ¥300 ($3.30/£2.27). There’s no word on whether the promotion will be hitting North America, but it looks likely given it has now been announced for both Europe and Japan.
