Team17 have announced Alien Breed: Impact for the PlayStation 3 and PC. It will be hitting the PlayStation Store on the PS3 and Steam on the PC this summer, and is an expanded edition of the Xbox Live Arcade game Alien Breed: Evolution. Like the XBLA release, it uses the Unreal Engine 3, but is now apparently tougher and requires more exploration. Weapons are now upgradeable with cash looted from corpses and lockers. There is also now a “Prologue” campaign.

For Alien Breed: Impact, it was great that we went back to the design and improved the game in many areas, meaning a much tighter gameplay experience for all.”
