Chart Track has confirmed that 32.4 million consoles from this generation have now been sold in the UK. That figure encapsulates 360, PS3, PSP, Wii and DS sales. This new total is based on sales ending 4th December 2010. It is 5.2 million larger than last year’s total, but surprisingly it represents the slowest growth for a couple of years. Next year could be more interesting though, thanks to the impending 3DS release. Kinect and Move probably won’t help, as they’re useless fads destined to die out alongside all waggle controls.
