Konami has announced Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 will be released on the PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 this autumn. The game has over 1000 new animations thanks to over 100 hours of motion capture and will be more simulation-orientated than its predecessors thanks to harder difficulty. Also, there is now Master League Online and new team management options. Konami has come up with a new commentary recording process too, so that will sound different.
Defenders will apparently hold their positions naturally, and will no longer chase any ball that enters their area. Instead, they prefer to close down the attacker and force them into a mistake. The game will also allow players to map their favourite move sequences to the right stick, including skills, feints and turns. It will also expand on the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League competitions and add South America’s Copa Liberadores. Lionel Messi will once again be the title’s cover star.
