Hello and welcome to our live cover this year’s Nintendo E3 Press Conference. The picture above is from Super Mario Galaxy 2, which is definitely a game of the year contender so far from Nintendo. That was announced at last year’s E3. This year, we’re not absolutely sure what the company has in store for Wii owners, but we do know some other things.
Expect to see the Nintendo 3DS, Pokemon Black/White and more of Metroid Other M. Other than that, we really have no idea. We can speculate that the Wii Vitality Sensor will be making an appearance and that a new Legend of Zelda is expected to be shown off for the Wii. It has been rumoured that Retro Studios are working on a new Donkey Kong game, but Kid Icarus was rumoured in a similar fashion for the past two years and nothing came from it. Obviously expect a passing mention to third parties and more casual stuff.
If you would like to follow our live text/image feed of this year’s conference, it’s ready and waiting for you after the jump. We’ll be following up our live coverage with a mass of news posts from the event.
Here’s our liveblogging box. It will automatically update, so there’s no need to refresh. The delay between us posting the updates and them reaching the site is about 10 seconds max, so please be patient. Expect to see more of it during E3. We’ve made it as big as we could so you can catch up on all the E3 drama live right here if you’re running late. We’ll be updating the post at the end of every conference to preserve everything we said in the liveblog. Our comments at the bottom of the post also automatically update, so all you have to do to enjoy it all is grab a nice cold beer, some food and reading/gaming material for the boring bits. We hope you enjoy E3! Here’s the Nintendo press conference liveblog:
