SEGA has today announced Captain America: Super Solider. The game is set during WWII and will be released in summer 2011. It’ll be coming to the 360, PS3, Wii and DS. Apparently, Super Soldier is a third person action adventure with “dynamic acrobatic platforming with a fast and fluid melee combat system”.

The storyline is written by Marvel comic writer Christos Gage, and it follows Captain America as he takes on the Iron Cross, the Hydra Army and the Red Skull. It’s basically a cash-in on the upcoming Captain America movie, but has a slightly different story apparently. Expect lots of offensive and defensive shield action, the ability to scale walls and lots of pro-America iconography.
