For those players that have been solely using their Macs in hopes of playing LEGO Lord of the Rings can now rest easy. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be releasing the newest LEGO title based on Lord of the Rings franchise. The game will be available for $29.99 in the US and £19.99 (inc. VAT) in the UK and €24.99 (inc. VAT) throughout Europe. When the game releases it’ll be available for direct download on various digital partner sites including; Have you forgotten what the game is about? Players can embark upon the quest in heroic single player mode or forge a Fellowship with friends and family during drop in/drop out co-operative play. On the way, they will master the special skills of more than 80 playable characters, face off against Ringwraiths, Mountain Trolls and the Balrog, and smash hundreds of Orcs to pieces with Aragorn’s sword, Legolas’ bow and Gimli’s axe!

LEGO The Lord of the Rings is an open-world game that gives players the freedom to explore Middle-earth on foot, on horseback or by magic. Alongside the epic events of the main story line, players will also set out on perilous side quests, hunt for hidden treasures and craft new weapons and items to help them on their journey.

Minimum system requirements call for a 1.4GHz Intel Mac with at least 4.0GB RAM, 256MB or better graphics card, and Mac OS 10.7.5 or later. The game does not support the following graphics cards: ATI X1xxx series, ATI HD2xxx series, NVIDIA 7xxx series, NVIDIA 8xxx series and Intel GMA series.

LEGO Lord of the Rings was developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Federal Interactive for new Mac games and will be available February 21st, 2013.
