Activision has confirmed that James Bond: Blood Stone will be released on 5th November in the UK. It will launch on the same day as GoldenEye 007 on the Wii and DS. SouthPeak has finally confirmed that that Two Worlds II has been officially delayed until after Christmas in the UK. It’s not currently known when the game will be released, but current estimates put it down for early 2011. The game has been delayed in the US and Europe too. 2K Games has confirmed that the UK version of the Borderlands Game of The Year Edition will be released in the UK on Friday 15th October. The GOTY edition will be released on the PC, PS3 and 360. Nintendo has confirmed that Donkey Kong Country Returns will be released in the UK on 3rd December. The game is currently in development over at Retro Studios and takes the series back to its 2D roots. It supports local co-op, with the second player taking over Diddy Kong. We enjoyed playing it at Nintendo the other month; even though we got embarrassed by the obligatory mine cart level.

Microsoft has confirmed a 250GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle, which includes the new version of the console, the Kinect camera and a copy of Kinect Adventures. It will be released in the US on 4th November for $399 and the UK/Europe on 10th November for £299.99. Microsoft had previously announced a 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle.

The UK will be getting its first videogame TV channel this November. It’s called Ginx and will be available on cable and satellite services. “For us it’s about light gamers,” said CEO Michiel Bakker at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival. Ginx will start out with game reviews, but will eventually feature more shows that will go into other subjects. The channel will apparently explore HD and 3D in the future. Ginx   Read More ...

Konami has announced that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be released on 5th October in the US and on 8th October in the UK on the PC, PS3 and 360. The game follows Gabriel Belmont, who has to rescue his wife from limbo. Hideo Kojima, whom has led development on the Metal Gear Solid franchise, has also had an overseer role on Lords of Shadow.

Arc System Works have confirmed that the PC version of BlazBlue Calamity Trigger will be released in the UK on 20th August. Intriguingly, the PC version features cross-platform play with the well-received 360 version. The PC release also features all the original downloadable content, including Unlimited Characters and Costume Colours.

2K has confirmed that the Collector’s Edition of Mafia II on the PC won’t be released in the UK. The publisher hasn’t announced why yet, but it’s a strange move as the CE will still be released in North America and across other European countries. A trade advert from Nintendo in the next issue of MCV (out tomorrow) states that Metroid: Other M will be released in the UK this September. The US release date was confirmed at Nintendo’s E3 press conference, with folks over the pond getting it on August 31st. The Japanese date is September 2nd. Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will be released in the UK on 19th November for the PC, PS3 and 360. The US date was revealed just before E3, with would-be assassins over the pond getting the game on 16th November. Brotherhood follows Ezio as he sorts out Rome by building a squad of assassins. It’s going to be like the A-Team, but with swords and stuff.

Konami and Autumn Games have announced that Def Jam Rapstar will be released in the UK on November 5th for the 360, PS3 and Wii. They have also announced six new songs for the game: Drake’s “Best I Ever Had”, Outkast’s “So Fresh, So Clean”, Tinchy Stryder featuring N-Dubz’ “Number 1”, Biz Markie’s “Just A Friend”, Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)” and Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It”.   Read More ...

Apple has announced that the iPad will be released in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK on May 28th. The 16GB model will cost £429, with the 32GB clocking up at £499 and the 64GB selling for £599. 3G versions of the same models will respectively cost £529, £599 and £699.
