The BBFC has officially slapped an 18 age rating on Call of Duty: Black Ops. That’s the same as Modern Warfare 2 and everything else in the Call of Duty franchise so we doubt it’ll affect sales much. Treyarch has confirmed that Richard Nixon, John F. Kennedy, Robert McNamara and Fidel Castro will be playable characters in Call of Duty Black Ops. Treyarch has confirmed that Call of Duty:  Black Ops will have split-screen options for its online multiplayer mode. It also has a custom game mode editor and sharing facility. There are more interface tweaks and functions too apparently. You can also search for games by regional matchmaking filters on a global scale and emblems won’t be reset when entering Prestige. XP, COD Points, Challenges and Loadouts will still be reset.

Treyarch has unveiled that they will be easing the Xbox Live party chat restrictions for Call of Duty: Black Ops. According to them, not all of the blocks in Modern Warfare 2 were necessary. The PC, PS3 and 360 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops will support stereoscopic 3D at launch. Basically, you’ll need a 3D TV or a PC that supports 3D and some 3D glasses. The PC version uses NVIDIA 3D Vision, so it supports the 3D Vision active-shutter glasses and NVIDIA GeForce GPUs. Gary Oldman and Ed Harris have been announced as voice actors for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Gary Oldman will be playing the same role he took on in Call of Duty: World at War, Viktor Reznov. Treyarch has announced that they will be releasing some mod tools for the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops after the game’s released. PC players will also be able to get their hands on the developer console, for extra tinkering. Best Buy has confirmed that zombies will crop up in Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops via map packs. The Hardened Edition will feature “four Zombie Maps Pack made famous from COD: World at War”. They’ll probably be in the Prestige Edition too when the game’s released on the PC, PS3 and 360 on 9th November.

GameTrailers TV last night on SpikeTV revealed the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Teaser Trailer. With every single god given warfare title going to the modern day route, Treyarch is no different here. The trailer gives you a great look into the new game and that will be bringing you the birth of the Special Forces.
