Treyarch has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops will have split-screen options for its online multiplayer mode. It also has a custom game mode editor and sharing facility. There are more interface tweaks and functions too apparently. You can also search for games by regional matchmaking filters on a global scale and emblems won’t be reset when entering Prestige. XP, COD Points, Challenges and Loadouts will still be reset.

Best Buy has confirmed that zombies will crop up in Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops via map packs. The Hardened Edition will feature “four Zombie Maps Pack made famous from COD: World at War”. They’ll probably be in the Prestige Edition too when the game’s released on the PC, PS3 and 360 on 9th November.
