According to inside sources, online games development and publishing outfit K2 Network has purchased the All Points Bulletin IP from the administrator handling the Realtime Worlds financial train-wreck. K2 Network is based in California, and is responsible for the free-to-play service GamersFirst. They spent £1.5 million for the APB IP. Current rumours suggest that the company will re-release the game as a free-to-play title.
The administrators handling Realtime Worlds will not be offering refunds to players who bought copies and subscriptions of APB. The MMO is now closed, after just two and a half months online.
