Capcom has announced that MotoGP 10/11 will be released on 18th March in Europe. There will be a demo of the game released on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Live Marketplace before then in February. The demo lets gamers play as Danny Pedrosa and Andrea Davizioso on the Mugello track. It has both Championship and Time Trial modes, too.

Sony has announced that they will be releasing a single-player demo of Killzone 3 on 16th February. EA has announced Dead Space 2: Severed. It’s the first DLC pack for Dead Space 2, and adds two standalone chapters to the single-player game. The protagonists for Severed are Gabe Weller and Lexine Murdock, the two main characters from Dead Space: Extraction. Characters control Weller, a Sprawl Security Guard. Mass Effect 2 has landed on the European PlayStation Store for an insane £48. We’re not quite sure why it costs so much, but the game’s RRP is supposed to be £49.99 so that must obviously have something to do with it. EA has announced that they will be releasing a demo of Bulletstorm on the Xbox Live Marketplace on 25th January and the PlayStation Network on 26th January. The demo includes Echo mode, which is a co-operative mode that tracks and compares player scores whilst they shoot about some campaign locations. EA has unveiled the first piece of Dragon Age 2 DLC. It will be called The Exiled Prince. Expect a new companion and missions in the pack for the sum of $7 or 560 Allards. Capcom has slapped a date on Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. It will be released on the PlayStation Network on 1st February in the US and on the Xbox Live Arcade on 2nd February. The PSN version will cost $14.99 and the XBLA release will set you back 1200 Allards.
Angry Birds will be released on the PlayStation 3 and PSP this week as part of the usual PlayStation Store update. The game has sold over 20 million copies across a load of mobile phone platforms. On the PS3/PSP, it will be released as a PlayStation mini title. That means it can be played on both with the same file.
Atari has announced Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale for the PC, XBLA and PSN. It will be released in spring 2011 and is currently under development at Bedlam Games. Expect lots of the usual fantasy stuff (Realms under attack by some evil dude) and a multiplayer mode that has a “riveting” narrative apparently.
Ubisoft has finally confirmed the highly-rumoured Splinter Cell Trilogy for the PS3. It includes HD versions of the original Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory. It will be released sometime next year. The news follows the release of Ubisoft’s recent PS3-exclusive Prince of Persia Trilogy, which was released on Blu-ray and on the PSN in Europe with a £29.99 price point. It also included stereoscopic 3D support.
The NPD Group has found that 29% of games purchased in the last three months were done so digitally. 47% of the digital buyers the group surveyed said they purchased their games from services like Steam. 42% bought their games through app stores or mobile phone carriers and 30% used console services like Xbox Live.
