A new title coming from Gamescom being published by Namco Bandai Games is officially dated and scheduled for release on February 7 for 360 and PS3. From the trailer it appears the game allows you to take control of gravity in what looks like the Force kind of way. Hopefully in the long run that won’t turn out to be a gimmick like the previously released Haze or Fracture had.

Namco has announced Ridge Racer Unbounded for the PC, PS3 and 360. The game is in development over at Bugbear Entertainment, the Finnish developer behind the FlatOut series and the 2007 PSP version of SEGA Rally. Namco has confirmed that it will be released sometime in 2012. It has been a while since the last console Ridge Racer, but the franchise seems to have been revived with this news and   Read More ...

Ninja Theory’s Enslaved: Odyssey to the West are much lower than anyone expected. Namco Bandai’s new money report has shown that the game has only sold 460,000 copies worldwide. With those numbers, don’t expect a sequel. Spending was very high on this title, with Namco Bandai hiring Alex Garland and Andy Serkis to work on the title. Ninja Theory has now gone off to work on Devil May Cry with   Read More ...

Namco Bandai has announced that Splatterhouse has gone gold. The game will be released on the 360 and PS3 on November 26th in Europe and Asia. Apparently, Splatterhouse is inspired by the 1988 arcade version. It includes two components that seem to be a part of a lot of games at the moment, including combat and horror. The original Splatterhouse trilogy is included in the game as an unlockable extra,   Read More ...

The Dragon Ball series is a weird one for us to look at. We never really got on with the odd plots and convoluted stories, but its design is definitely iconic. The series has become very popular in the west, but its still niche compared to contemporary western animation and general programming (at least to us). Saying that, lots of people have been telling us it’s entertaining enough so that’s   Read More ...

Our friendly Namco Bandai contact has sent word that a demo for Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network. The game has also gone gold, and looks set to meet its November 26th release date in Europe and Asia. Hopefully, we’ll get a review of it up around that time.

The Naruto anime/manga is admittedly one of the office favourites. Even though it rips off a certain other Japanese franchise with spiky-haired fighters, there’s something about Naruto that strikes a chord with all of us. When the series reached Shippuden, we liked it even more. Seeing Naruto become the ninja of his dreams was both inspiring and heart-warming. What we don’t like about the series is all the boring filler   Read More ...

Namco Bandai has announced Ace Combat: Assault Horizon for the PS3 and 360. It’s due out in 2011 and features both single-player and multiplayer elements, which should shock everyone. The last console Ace Combat was Fires of Liberation. It did rather well, despite some difficult set-pieces (well the game was developed in Japan). The next PSP Ace Combat (Joint Assault) will be released on 3rd September.

Namco Bandai has announced that Tekken 6 has sold over 3 million copies worldwide. The entire Tekken series has now sold 39 million units worldwide, too. Around 1 million of those Tekken 6 sales were made between April and June. They helped get the company out of a bit of trouble, halving net income loss to 1.64 billion yen for the quarter.
