Apple boss Steve Jobs has finally officially announced the iPad 2 at a press conference in San Francisco. The tablet will be released on 11th March in the US and 25th March in 26 more countries. Apple has officially confirmed that they will be having an iPad 2 event next week on Wednesday March 2nd. It will all be going down at 6pm GMT (10am PST). The event takes place in San Francisco at the Yuerba Buena Center for the Arts, which is relatively close to where the Game Developers Conference will take place next week.

Epic has officially lifted the lid on Infinity Blade, the first iPhone game to run on the Unreal Engine. Rockstar has announced that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars HD will be released on the iPad next Thursday (9th September) for £5.99. The game now has over 50 missions, some more side activities and the ability to listen to your iTunes library in-game. Chinatown Wars has been about the block a bit, having been released on the DS, PSP and the iPhone before stopping off on the iPad.

Apple head honcho Steve Jobs has confirmed that Epic Games is working on their first game for Apple platforms. Hulu has finally announced that Hulu Plus is coming to the PS3 in July and the 360 in early 2011. The $9.99 a month service is already available on the PC (preview invitation only at the moment), iPhone (as well as the iPod Touch and iPad thanks to the new Hulu Plus app) and other devices. Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions will be released on the iPhone and iPod Touch on 15th September. The company hasn’t confirmed how much it’ll cost, but the game has appeared before: it was the 2007 PSP remake of the original Final Fantasy Tactics.

Zynga has released FarmVille for the iPad and iPhone. Previously, the supposedly addictive game was confined to Facebook and the rest of the web. It’s available for free on the App Store, and allows people to carry on their farm from their account or start a new one. Some items are exclusive to the normal web version, and others are exclusive to the App.
