LG has been granted a preliminary injunction that is stopping imports of the PS3 into Europe. Shipments of PS3s are currently being seized by European customs officers as LG’s injunction against Blu-ray technology seeks to block Sony products from sale. Capcom has announced that MotoGP 10/11 will be released on 18th March in Europe. There will be a demo of the game released on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Live Marketplace before then in February. The demo lets gamers play as Danny Pedrosa and Andrea Davizioso on the Mugello track. It has both Championship and Time Trial modes, too.

The Video Standards Council has confirmed that the new PEGI game ratings system has been delayed. The new legally enforceable system was due to be released this April across Europe, but it seems they couldn’t get it ready in time. UK Minister for Culture Ed Vaizey has chimed in, saying that the ratings will be formally approved by July and will be rolled out after that.
Nintendo has confirmed plans to ship 4 million Nintendo 3DS’ worldwide by the end of March. 1.5 million units of that total will be going to Japan, whereas the rest will be heading to North America and Europe. Launch details for those territories will be unveiled on 19th January.

Konami has confirmed that the PS3 version of X-Men Arcade will be released two months after the 360 version. The XBLA release will be hitting Europe and the US on 15th December (next Wednesday). The PSN release is currently pencilled in for a rather vague “February”. It’s not currently known how much the game will cost. X-Men Arcade is a port of the original multiplayer focused X-Men arcade title.
