Capcom has announced four new DLC theme packs for Dead Rising 2. They will be released over the course of the next month. The four packs are: Psychopath, Soldier of Fortune, Sports Theme Pack and the Ninja Theme Pack. They’ll be released in that order every week from 12th October on XBLA and 13th October on PSN. Capcom has announced Mega Man Legends 3 Project and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D for the Nintendo 3DS. No release dates for either of those have been unveiled yet. Capcom has confirmed that they will be flogging new costumes for all 35 characters in Super Street Fighter IV next month. The new costumes will be sold as downloadable content packs. The first pack will go on sale on 26th October. The costumes will include some new threads and some older designs, like Chun Li’s original Street Fighter Alpha costume. The DLC is yet to be priced.

Microsoft has lifted the lid on a raft of new Japanese XBLA titles. There was five announced, to be exact. Here they are: Haunt – A spooky adventure game from Parappa the Rappa’s Masaya Matsuura. Capcom has announced another Dead Rising 2-based Xbox 360-exclusive downloadable game at the Tokyo Game Show. It’s entitled Dead Rising 2: Case West. Capcom has officially unveiled the heavily-rumoured Ninja Theory-developed Devil May Cry game at the Tokyo Game Show. The game is called “DmC”, and will be released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Capcom has announced that Dead Rising 2: Case Zero has broken the record for best week one unit sales in the history of all content distributed through the Xbox Live Arcade. Some figures floating around the internet have reported that Dead Rising: Case Zero managed to clock up 330,000 downloads in less than seven days. The game costs 400 Allards and even though that doesn’t sound like it could make anyone much money, Capcom could’ve made $1,149,015 for just this week. That’s assuming Microsoft took only 30% of the game’s sales money.

Capcom has confirmed that Lost Planet 2 will be released on 15th October for the PC. The game will support NVIDIA 3D Vision and DirectX 11. Recommended system specs are: an Intel Core2 Quad or AMD Phenom x4 processor; NVIDIA GeForce 9800 or ATI Radeon HD4800 graphics card; and either 2GB RAM on Windows XP or 3GB RAM on Windows Vista. Windows 7 is supported too.

Capcom has announced that the console versions (360 and PS3) of Dead Rising 2 will be released on 24th September in Europe, a week ahead of the previously confirmed date. The PC version is still pencilled in for a 28th September release though.

Capcom has dashed any hopes original Resident Evil 5 owners had of playing the game with the PlayStation Move. The newer Gold Edition will be the only version to support the new peripheral, thanks to a free patch (releasing 19th September in North America). The patch will also already be a part of Gold Edition game discs after the PlayStation Move’s release. Here’s Capcom’s explanation:

Capcom has announced Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online. According to the publisher, it will be a downloadable title. However, they haven’t announced which platforms it will be making its way to. A smart man would probably bet on the PSN and XBLA as definite candidates. Apart from that, no other details have been confirmed as of yet.
