Capcom has announced some post-launch DLC for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Shadow Mode will be a series of DLC packs that will let you fight against “custom-built computer opponents, modelled after famous players and specific themed teams”. Capcom has announced some sales figures for their major titles during the nine months leading up to 31st December. Dead Rising 2 managed to sell 2.2 million, Super Street Fighter IV sold 1.6 million and Lost Planet 2 flogged 1.5 million. Capcom said that the “steady sales” of Lost Planet 2 were below projections. Capcom has announced that MotoGP 10/11 will be released on 18th March in Europe. There will be a demo of the game released on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Live Marketplace before then in February. The demo lets gamers play as Danny Pedrosa and Andrea Davizioso on the Mugello track. It has both Championship and Time Trial modes, too.

Capcom has confirmed that Street Fighter IV 3D Edition lets you send a versus demo of the game wirelessly to a friend. They can then use that to play versus matches without the full game. Apparently, it will use both Nintendo 3DS Download Play Support and the 3DS’ Street Pass function to send a cut down version to other 3DS’ and fight them. Capcom has confirmed that Akuma and Taskmaster will be playable in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Akuma is that weird dude that stalks Ryu and everyone complains about in Street Fighter IV. Capcom has slapped a date on Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. It will be released on the PlayStation Network on 1st February in the US and on the Xbox Live Arcade on 2nd February. The PSN version will cost $14.99 and the XBLA release will set you back 1200 Allards.

In an unbelievable Christmas miracle, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D will allow players to move and shoot. The game is one of two Resi titles planned for the 3DS. Capcom has announced that Xbox Live Arcade exclusive Dead Rising 2: Case West will be released next month. The game sees the return of Frank West as he peruses Fortune City in order to investigate Phenotrans. His goal is to find proof of its involvement with the zombie outbreaks. Case West is set immediately after Dead Rising 2, and allows Frank to team up with Chuck Greene in co-op.

Capcom has confirmed that their next MotoGP title will be released in March 2011 for the PS3 and 360. It’s currently in development over at Monumental Games and adds player assistance alongside co-op. The co-op mode allows friends to jump to race via split-screen to help your team win. Keiji Inafune has decided that he will be quitting Capcom at the end of the month. He has been with the company for 23 years. He became the Head of R&D Management Group, Consumer Games R&D Division and Contents Management Division during his time there. Inafune said: “I’m leaving Capcom with the intention of starting my life over.”
