Microsoft has announced a Halo Reach Xbox 360 bundle. The bundle includes a silver Reach-themed 250GB Xbox 360 S, which bizarrely has custom sound effects from the Halo universe. We’re not exactly sure what this means, but if opening the disc tray sounds like a plasma grenade then we’ll die as happy fanboys, much like Kotaku does on a daily basis. The bundle also includes two silver Reach-themed wireless controllers, Read More ...
Bungie has announced two new modes for Halo Reach at this year’s San Diego ComiCon. They are Forge World and Versus Firefight. Forge World is basically a massive new setting for the Forge map editor that uses the new Forge toolset. It’s basically set on a Halo ring and features five game maps put inside one single space. It allows eight players or four split-screen players to create and edit Read More ...
Today is the 7th July, a day which Bungie have claimed their own for a while now. The developers of the Halo series are celebrating the date with less and less vigor each year, but still had a little something in the pot for the celebrations today. 343 Industries is looking for recruits for its first title on their website. It’s been highly rumoured that it will be the next Halo game (as that is what the studio was set up for), but nothing has been confirmed at this point. The big jobs seem to be a mission designer, a senior 3D artist and a senior character artist, but there are a few more going. Halo: Reach Read More ...
Bungie has confirmed that Halo: Reach will have scalable difficulty in co-op. That means that enemies will get stronger when more Spartans join the fray. Higher difficulty levels will make the game even more difficult this time round, as other players push up the Spartan count. This probably won’t annoy us until the inevitable Flood level, when the entire office will have a meltdown. Halo: Reach will be released on Read More ...
Bungie have released a new trailer for Halo Reach’s Firefight mode. We picked up on Bungie’s confirmation of the mode making an appearance during E3 and it did look rather good. Matchmaking will allow us folk without friends to get some firefight on and take down waves upon waves of anti-humans. Viddy:

Bungie went on stage and showed off a gameplay excerpt from Halo Reach. We don’t have much time to talk about it thanks to E3 commitments, but it was really entertaining and we can’t wait to get the full game in TheNPCs’ office. Here’s the video:
