Bizarre Creations will officially be shutting up shop on Friday February 18th. The developer made around 20 games over 15 years, and managed to accumulate 200 members of staff at the height of their success. Activision has recommended that Bizarre Creations should be closed, saying that they have tried to sell the studio but haven’t been able to find a way to offload it. Activision Worldwide Studios’ COO Coddy Johnson today said that Activision tried to sell the struggling developer to “pretty much anyone you can imagine in the industry” and were now left with closing the studio, which they admitted was their “last resort”.   Read More ...

Activision has confirmed that they have shut up shop over at Bizarre Creations. That team was the development outfit behind the PGR series and were snatched up by Activision to make some stuff for them. They managed to get out Blur and 007 Blood Stone before getting the chop. Activision has confirmed that James Bond: Blood Stone will be released on 5th November in the UK. It will launch on the same day as GoldenEye 007 on the Wii and DS. Blood Stone is currently under development at Bizarre Creations, the developers of Project Gotham Racing and Blur. It will be released on the PC, PS3 and 360. Activision has announced Blood Stone, a new James Bond game. Singer Joss Stone will be playing a “posh version of Paris Hilton” in the game, with Daniel Craig reprising his role as James Bond and Judi Dench reprising her role as M.
