id Software has reminded us that their first ever game is now 20 years old. That title was the good old-school side-scroller Commander Keen. It was released on 14th December 1990, a whole two months before id Software was officially founded. “My childhood was pretty much made up of Mario games on the console, and Commander Keen on the PC,” said id Software’s Mike Rubits.
Bethesda has announced that Quake Arena Arcade will be released on the Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday (15th December). Expect HD and Widescreen support, a new Single Player campaign, thirty classic maps and twelve Xbox-exclusive maps. You will be able to take on fifteen of your friends in six modes over Live, including Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Harvester.

Bethesda has confirmed that the upcoming Dead Money DLC for New Vegas will raise the level cap to 35. It will add new perks and achievements for the game too. The DLC will be a timed exclusive for the 360, due out on 21st December. Dead Money lets players take part in a casino heist with three other captured wastelanders.
Bethesda has detailed the first DLC pack for Fallout: New Vegas. It’s called Dead Money and it will be released on the Xbox 360 Marketplace on December 21st, costing 800 Allards. Bethesda has confirmed that they are developing a patch for all three versions of Fallout: New Vegas. It will fix the 360’s save issue amongst other bugs and issues. It’s due to be released in the next few weeks. The PC version will get a smaller patch early this week to fix save corruption and companion issues. It’ll also improve performance for NVIDIA users.

Bethesda has released a patch for the 360 and PS3 versions of Fallout: New Vegas. The patch hit the PC last week, and it does seem to fix a few bugs with quest and scripting issues. However, loads of other bugs still exist in the game and it looks like Bethesda has a few more patches in development to push out.
