2K Games has confirmed that they have a patch in the works for Civilization V. The patch will fix the trade bug where players’ resource inventory would multiply. There will also be some fixes for multiplayer, modding, AI, gameplay, UI and some other random bits. It’s not currently known when the patch will be released.

2K Games has confirmed that the UK version of the Borderlands Game of The Year Edition will be released in the UK on Friday 15th October. The GOTY edition will be released on the PC, PS3 and 360. 2K Games has announced that players picking up the Game of the Year edition of Borderlands will get access to a Duke Nukem Forever demo. Essentially, the game will come with a free membership certificate for the “Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club”. If you enter the key on that certificate, you’ll be able to access the DNF demo. 2K Games has released some gameplay footage of BioShock Infinite. The video is available across the web and on Xbox Live. If you’re at work or can’t wait to download it, here it is on YouTube. Enjoy:

A demo for Civilization V is available to download right now on Steam (PC). The game will be released this Friday, and it seems to be picking up hype across the internet thanks to favourable reviews. One of our PC guys will probably have a review in the pipeline if all goes to plan, so if that comes  to fruition we’ll let you know.

2K Games has today announced Joe’s Adventures, the third downloadable game add-on for Mafia II. It will be released on the PS3, 360 and PC later this year. Essentially, the DLC follows the game’s story through the eyes of Joe Barbaro (Vito Scaletta’s best friend). It takes place while Vita spends time in prison. Irrational Games has told us that they will release a BioShock Infinite gameplay video on 22nd September. The video will debut on Xbox Live and www.xbox.com and will probably crop up around the web from that point on. 2K Sports has today announced Top Spin 4. It will be released in 2011 for the 360, PS3 and Wii. There will be an odd pre-order incentive: a vintage Andre Agassi playable character. The game will have redesigned controls, new player models, improved animations, TV-style presentation and a large player roster. Gearbox Software has confirmed that they have purchased the Duke Nukem brand at their conference in PAX. Gearbox president Randy Pitchford dramatically told fans that “we brought Duke Nukem”. So just to clarify, Gearbox not only has the rights to release Duke Nukem Forever, it has the rights for all future projects thanks to a cooperative deal made with 3D Realms. Gearbox has confirmed that the Borderlands level-cap raise and game re-balancing update that was supposed to be part of the new DLC will be released as a free update for all game owners. Gearbox Software has announced a “Game of the Year Edition” of Borderlands. The re-release is coming to the 360, PS3 and PC on October 12th. It will include all four DLC add-ons, as well as a foldout map of the game world. The 360 and PS3 versions will set you back $60, whereas the PC version is going for $50. 2K Games has confirmed that the single-player story-driven Minerva’s Den downloadable content add-on for BioShock 2 will be released Tuesday, 31st August. Irrational Games have confirmed that the new enemy in the BioShock: Infinite trailer is called the “Handyman”. Concept artist Rob Waters talked about the Handyman on this week’s Irrational Behaviour podcast. The character was originally designed with mechanical crab claws, but was changed to porcelain hands as Irrational wanted him to be able to punch (as well as grab) things. 2K Games has today announced BioShock Infinite. It’s in development over at Irrational Games, the team behind the original BioShock. Infinite will be a FPS, just like its predecessors but will take players to 1912 and out of Rapture. Instead, it takes place in Columbia, a city in the sky.
