Bungie and co. have announced the new Halo Reach Noble Map Pack is now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The map pack will set you back a total of 800 MS Points. Also included is a new set of achievements worth a total gamerscore of 250 points. The pack comes with 3 new maps (detailed after the break).
EA has finally dated Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam. The downloadable expansion pack will be released on the PC on Saturday 18th December, with the PS3 and 360 releases on 21st December. Activision has announced three new DLC packs for DJ Hero 2. The one out today is the Hard Edge Mix Pack, which includes Pixies’ “Debaser” mixed with The Prodigy’s “Invaders Must Die”, and Beastie Boys’ “Body Movin’” mixed with Lenny Kravitz’ “Rock And Roll Is Dead”. It will cost 480 Allards on the Xbox Live Marketplace and £4.79 on the PlayStation Network.
EA has sent word that they are releasing some patches for the PC and 360 versions of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Capcom has announced that Xbox Live Arcade exclusive Dead Rising 2: Case West will be released next month. The game sees the return of Frank West as he peruses Fortune City in order to investigate Phenotrans. His goal is to find proof of its involvement with the zombie outbreaks. Case West is set immediately after Dead Rising 2, and allows Frank to team up with Chuck Greene in co-op.
Nintendo has confirmed that New Super Mario Bros. Wii is their first quadruple platinum selling game in Japan. It crossed the four million copies sold mark in Japan this week, with Sunday’s figures putting sales at a precise 4,001,276. The game already became the Wii’s best-selling title back in March, when it managed to topple the 3.5 million barrier.
Nintendo has confirmed that US customers picked up a lot of their products during the Black Friday week (November 21-27). Internal estimates say that they managed to sell 900,000 DS units (that figure is across all models of DS) and 600,000 Wiis. Should these numbers prove to be true, the NPDs will be pretty interesting for this month.
CCP has unveiled the patch notes for EVE Online’s winter expansion, Incursion. The patch makes some player-requested changes, as well as the usual array of fixes and netcode improvements. SEGA has deleted all the scores from the Sonic 4: Episode 1 leaderboards because of some good for nothing cheaters. Naughty (and impossible) times of 0 seconds have been deleted, as well as 99999990 scores. Disappointingly though, all the legitimate results have also been destroyed. Furthermore, it appears that there’s nothing SEGA or anyone can do to prevent the devious hackers from reposting the dodgy scores to the leaderboard.

This new episodic Alien Breed series has been interesting. It may not be as exciting as the series was back in the old days, but the third-person semi top-down shooter does have its moments. Jade Raymond has confirmed that she is working on Splinter Cell 6, alongside the Ubisoft Toronto team that handled Conviction. 83 people have been hired to help work on the game alongside the pre-existing staff.
