Toshihiro Nagoshi, series director of Yakuza, has confirmed that he is working on a new main series Yakuza title for the PS3. He was talking to Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu (Andriasang translated it, like dons), and has been in development alongside Black Panther, a PSP Yakuza spin-off. Yakuza character Majima Goro will be playable in Yakuza 5. Expect to hear more about it at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
Eurogamer has got the scoop on the next major title in the Tomb Raider series in development over at Crystal Dynamics. Their source claims that the next title will be released Christmas 2011. Apparently, it will be released on the PC, PS3 and 360. Crystal Dynamics has just finished up work on Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, an upcoming PSN, XBLA and PC title releasing Q3 2010.

A device listing (on Play.com) for Microsoft’s upcoming Kinect states that the device is only capable of tracking two active players. ShopTo has claimed that Kinect’s UK RRP is £129.99, and will be released on these shores on Friday 19th November. ShopTo are selling it for a bit less, at £124.86. Microsoft hasn’t revealed an official price point for the device anywhere yet, but their own shop lists it at $149. It’ll be hitting the US on 4th November and the rest of the world sometime after.

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will be released in the UK on 19th November for the PC, PS3 and 360. The US date was revealed just before E3, with would-be assassins over the pond getting the game on 16th November. Brotherhood follows Ezio as he sorts out Rome by building a squad of assassins. It’s going to be like the A-Team, but with swords and stuff.
THQ has confirmed that Saints Row 3D started as an Xbox Live Arcade title before Nintendo waltzed in and requested a 3DS version. Those sneaky folks at Sony are always keen to chuck in some small extra features into new firmware, and the latest release (3.40) is no exception. They have added in a new option in the settings part of the XMB. It will allow you to calibrate the PlayStation Move, if it doesn’t work properly. Seeing as the new controller isn’t releasing for a while, we can’t exactly try it out.
